چکیده
Introduction: Cataracts and Glaucoma are the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide. Lens extraction using Phacoemulsification technique can be an effective IOP-lowering treatment for all types glaucoma.
Objective: To study was to measure Intra-Ocular Pressure before after phacoemulsification determine mean change in Pressure.
Methodology: This included 53 glaucoma patients with Primary Open Angle (POAG), Closure (ACG), Pseudoexfoliation (PXF) % (n=4) who visited Department Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Rawalpindi. Pre post-interventional designs were used. Based on a slit lamp examination, labeled as having cataracts glaucomatous eyes. Pre-operative Intraocular pressure (IOP) noted Goldmann Applanation Tonometer (GAT). Patients referred their IOP 2 weeks surgery. The non-Probability convenient sampling Technique Paired t-test used find IOP.
Results: age respondents (62.5±10.25) had maximum value 81 years minimum 40 among sample respondents. (16.25±7.251) (13.28±5.940) difference (2.962 ±8.364) cataracts. found statistically significant (p-value<0.05).
Conclusion: In Glaucomatous there is reduction medications more marked POAG compared other Glaucoma.

Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether there is an effect of cataract surgery with phacoemulsification on IOP after one week of surgery. To investigate whether there is a correlation between Axial length (AL), Anterior chamber depth ACD, K-readings with preoperative (preop) and postoperative (postop) IOP. Methods: The subjects for this study were extracted from the records at th...

PURPOSE To compare intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction and to develop a predictive surgery calculator based on the results between trabectome-mediated ab interno trabeculectomy in pseudophakic patients versus phacoemulsification combined with trabectome-mediated ab interno trabeculectomy in phakic patients. METHODS This observational surgical cohort study analyzed pseudophakic patients who r...

The purpose of our systematic review is to document the adverse events that follow phacoemulsification in eyes with trabeculectomy due to glaucoma and to determine whether phacoemulsification jeopardizes the survival of the trabeculectomy. Our research was based on English- and non-English-language articles obtained using the Medline, Embase, Web of Science and Scopus databases. Additional stud...
